Security Fencing

Security Fencing

Security Fencing comes in a few different forms and this blog post will help you decide which one is for you. Unfortunately if you have valuable items or any reason to want to keep people out of your property then a Security Fence must form part of your security package. Here we will deal with a couple of the favoured Security Fences that we at Collinson Fencing have dealt with over many years.

Palisade Fencing

A new Palisade Fence is a good start for a security fence. An upgrade from Chain Link Fencing it is adaptable to most site conditions and it's intimidating look will prevent some potential intruders alone. With it's tough steel components and anti vandal fixings Palisade Fencing will prevent all but the most determined intruder at bay.

Expanded Metal Fencing

This really is a good security fence used for many years by London Underground and many Water Authorities as their main type of boundary fencing. The difference between Expanded Metal Fencing and Palisade, apart from the look, is time. The time it takes to enter your property. As we said at the start a new Security Fence should be 'part' of your security arrangements.

Unfortunately the most determined intruder with the right tools can get through the fencing so now we are dealing with how long you can keep them occupied. If you can delay them long enough maybe they'll leave or security personnel will have time to confront them or alert the Police. With Expanded Metal Fencing, due to the design and fixings of the fence, will occupy an intruder for a longer time than a Palisade Fence!
